Something deeper is calling you.

You want your work to matter. You want to spend your time doing something meaningful. Something that makes a real difference in another person’s life.

There is nothing quite like the moment when someone leaves a session and says, “That was the best hour of my week.” To be a part of that, to help someone feel stronger, more at ease, and more connected in their body, is powerful. And you deserve to experience that sense of purpose in your work.

There are not many jobs where that fulfillment happens hour after hour.

This is one.

There are two ways to step into this work, depending on your goals:

130-Hour Mat Teacher Training: happening this summer, and a great place to start!

450-Hour Comprehensive Equipment Teacher Training in October.

We’re With You Every Step of the Way

This is an intentionally small, intimate training experience. Unlike larger programs where instructors and cohorts change from module to module, this training is consistent, personal, and deeply connected.

You’ll move through the entire journey with the same group—building relationships, studying together, and supporting one another along the way. It becomes more than a training; it becomes a community.

And you won’t be navigating it alone. You’ll have direct, ongoing access to Jessica for guidance, questions, and support whenever you need it. This is a collaborative, supportive environment where you are truly seen, guided, and encouraged every step of the way.

Our teacher training program IS for you if…

  • You are deeply curious about how bodies move—and why

  • You want to understand movement, not just memorize exercises

  • You are interested in people, not just programming

  • You value connection, presence, and meaningful work

  • You’re willing to commit to a process of learning, observing, and evolving

  • You want to help others feel better in their bodies in a lasting, sustainable way

Our teacher training program is NOT for you if…

  • You’re looking for a quick certification or fast-track program

  • You want a script to follow rather than an education to develop your eye

  • You’re primarily interested in Pilates as fitness or performance training

  • You’re not interested in anatomy, movement exploration, or ongoing learning

  • You prefer clear-cut answers over curiosity and process

Pilates Mat Teacher Training

3 Months: June 12 - 14, July 11 & 12, and Aug 7 - 9

In-Person or Live Virtual

This 3-month Pilates Defined Mat Teacher Training is a deep dive into the true foundations of the work developed by Joseph Pilates. Rather than simply teaching the 34 exercises, this program deconstructs them, guiding you through fundamental movement principles, functional anatomy, and the “why” behind how bodies move.

Designed for those who want more than a fitness certification, this training is for curious, committed teachers who are invested in helping people move better, feel more, and understand their bodies on a deeper level.

Graduates will earn a certificate of completion and leave equipped to teach Pilates mat work with clarity, confidence, and integrity.

Pilates was designed to meet you exactly where you are. Rooted in the original work of Joseph Pilates, this method is not about pushing harder, but about moving smarter, with awareness, precision, and respect for the body in front of you.

In today’s fitness-driven Pilates landscape, the work is often mistaken. Pilates Defined Mat Teacher Training returns to the source—teaching you how to see the body, understand its needs, and make movement accessible and effective for every individual, from post-rehab to lifelong movers.

This training is for teachers who want to cultivate confidence, curiosity, and true strength in their clients—not by overriding the body, but by listening to it.

130-hours: 3 weekends (In-Person or Live Virtual)

“I enrolled in Jessica’s instructor training course, and I have gained an elevated understanding of how our bodies move and how to use Pilates principles and exercises to help myself and others move more freely with ease, flexibility, strength, and even less pain. Jessica and her team, along with this deep learning, have improved my own posture, reduced my knee and hip pain, and I feel amazing. I am very fortunate to have found Jessica and Pilates Defined. It has changed my life!”

— Roberta

“The program was thoughtfully structured, blending theory, practical application, and plenty of hands-on practice. The environment was supportive and encouraging.

This program has been transformative. I learned not only the principles and repertoire of Pilates, but also how to teach with clarity, compassion, and confidence. Most importantly, I now have the knowledge and confidence to guide others on their movement journey.”

Which Training Is Right for You?

Both programs are rooted in the same philosophy: understanding how bodies move, helping people feel better in their bodies, and learning how to teach with clarity, confidence, and care.

The biggest difference is the scope of what you’ll learn and the level of commitment each program requires.
